Marketing Intern

Sama Labib

Sama Labib comes from Egypt. Though born and raised in Kuwait, Sama maintains strong connections to Egypt and Egyptians. Sama completed her education at Kuwait University and graduated with Bachelor’s of Business in Marketing in 2008. She immediately joined the work force as a marketing officer in the one of its kind warehouse electronic store, Electrozan, in Kuwait.

Sama used her extensive experience in marketing as a Marketing Coordinator at 360 MALL in Kuwait; one of the most luxurious shopping centers in Kuwait. Her responsibilities included but were not limited to: Event planning ranging from themed entertainment events, Corporate Social Responsibility events and new technology events, tenant relationship, advertising and social media marketing. Sama took charge of incorporating new technology as part of her job, by launching the first ever-mall iphone application in Kuwait. As recognition of her efforts, Sama was shortlisted by the mall’s top management to attend the ICSC Global Awards Ceremony in Dubai in November 2011 where the mall won a gold award in the MENA Region.

Sama currently lives in Chicago with her family. She has been a volunteer with Sarah’s Circle organization, working with the organization to eliminate homelessness and strive to empower women in Uptown Chicago. Sama currently joined Egyptians Abroad for Development as a Marketing Intern. Sama is passionate about using her background and expertise to help EAD grow, and contribute to the development of her motherland, Egypt.
