On January 29th, 2011. over 2000 people participated in a demonstration in front of the Egyptian consulate in Chicago downtown.

Every Friday and Saturday, there were similar rallies at the same place, Egyptians and non-Egyptians asking for the right in freedom, and to end the regime.
on Feb12,2011. the scheduled rally turned into a huge celebration with hollering, songs, poems and dancing
